S’mores Rice Krispy Treats
A delicious take on this iconic classic.
To finish the cereal series, I wanted to take the more classic and iconic cereal treat, the Rice Krispy Treat, and give it a delicious update by making a s’mores version. These are too good to pass up!
This recipe makes an 8x8-inch dish, around 9-12 treats
Ingredients:
7 Oz Marshmallows (around 3 Cups)
1 1/2 Tbs Unsalted Butter
4 Cups Rice Krispies
1 Cup Crushed Graham Crackers
1 Cup Chocolate Chips
1 Cup Mini Marshmallows
1/8 Tsp Salt
Directions:
Grease an 8x8-inch dish with cooking spray, then line it with parchment and spray the parchment. In a large pot over medium heat, cook the butter and marshmallows, stirring occasionally until completely melted.
Off the heat, add the cereal, graham crackers, chocolate chips, marshmallows and salt. Use a spatula to mix it all together.
Press the mixture firmly into the prepared dish and top with additional graham crackers, marshmallows and chocolate chips. You can use a blow torch if you have one to toast the marshmallows on top. Allow to set at room temperature for 30 minutes before cutting.
